Fabric Art collage - Peace on Earth - Winterdream

  Hello everyone!

I felt like working with fabric scraps again and create a art collage

 in winter christmas mood.

I sewed an adorable winter cottage from fabric scraps

and  mixed different fabrics with jeans,

added a door with a MDF shape. The natural colors of the shapes

contrast very well with denim.

Several structure in background were made with fabric,

wallpaper and corrugated cardboard

leftovers.

Baubles got some silver glitter and were backed with linen fabric.

 I hope you find inspiration!

Wishing you a happy advent season!

Fabric Art collage - Waiting for Spring -

Welcome creative friends!

Love working in mixed media style, you can combine and try so many materials,

new impressions and inspirations are always created.

MDF shapes complement also fabric collages wonderfully,

especially love the filigree and wooden look here.

I was inspired to create a fabric collage in vintage style.

It's a mix from various ripped fabric leftovers, cutting dies and photo cut outs.

First the fabric scraps were attached to sturdy paper

and then adorned with a few decorative stitches

to create an interesting background in shabby chic style.

I used here only a few MDF shapes as 3d effect and eyecatcher,
sometimes less is more.
They were only lightly primed with white gesso and highlighted
with some glitter paint (gold, green) just a little,
but it gives a wonderful effect when the sun shines on it.

Steampunk Bag

Hello!

and I'm back with a new inspiration for you.

You know I love to try some new ideas and to leave my comfort zone.
The time was right to create with fabric.
Before it was a very simple cotton bag and now it's a very special bag :-)

I use an amazing stencil with some fabric colors from DecoArt,
this paint is very soft and flexible to the touch, the colours 'Lamp Black', 'Dark Chocolate' and 'Burnt Sienna' were also suitable for a faux rust effect.

 some details

The metallic silver effect was made with a Heat Transfer foil.

My  teamies at SASPC have come up with many
inspiring and different versions
on the theme this time.
Please have a look and feel you inspired to create your own
steampunk or industrial project
We are looking forward to see your new creations!

Let's go shopping :-)

Christmas Stars

Welcome!

Today my latest Christmas ideas for our
DT Scrap FX

You know the funny christmas song 'Rockin around the christmas tree'?
This song I had in my ears as I created this christmas layout.
Our german christmas is mostly very silently and prayerfully
in the circle of our family
but I also love the cheerful side with our friends
and their children.

Scrap FX products used:

I created a christmas tree from some cutting dies (flowers and fir branches) with texture papers
two handmade pointsettias and as structure the three wordlets
chipboards were made with black and gold embossing powder

here the wonderful Ballerina stencil with white gesso as background
and some beautiful glimmer effects from a Glimmer Mist Coral Reef (Tattered Angels)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
and my second christmas project
before it was an old wooden frame, now it's a new christmas gift

for this lighted photo frame I used the following Scrap FX products

I created an altered effect with a brown Glimmermist Spray (Tattered Angels)
and a white texture paint on the chipboards and for the background,
a star stamp, some leaves and pointsettia flowers from Prima
and a little metallic frame
as cluster at the lower edge.

Merry Christmas all over the world!

May the spirit of the season

bring you happiness and joy!
Best wishes from
xx Kerstin xx

GD All the pretty flowers

Hi friends,
I'm very honored and looking forward to be a Guest designer in this month.
This month two of my projects will be featured on Gloria Stengel's Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog. I have been invited to join her fabulous, talented team as guest designer starting today with

Challenge #15 All the Pretty Flowers

This challenge is for all of you flower hoarders! Maybe you hoard pre-made flowers. Maybe you hoard flower punches or dies. Maybe you hoard flower stamps. "Dig" out those flowers and use them on your project!

 Cool feelings

Little witches kitchen

Hi friends,
Witch Kraft
August, a September (or at the moment, already an October) was - really creepy, continuous rain, darkness and cold. The right weather to think of Halloween. It's one of my favorite theme's, dark woods, ghostly houses and castles in the mist, sinister figures and and ...

Today view in the Witch's kitchen, where some concoction is mixed in dark night together, our witch is at the moment  in the Harz forests on the road, to collect magical ingredients
her best friend while guarding the House, she forgot her magic hat in a hurry

the witch hat was sewn from old fabric remnants, painted with black acrylic paint, stuffed with filler material and decorated with a small feather BOA

the little witch's kitchen originated from an old wooden box, color I've chosen this time various shades of rust, mainly acrylics, of course crackle paint, an absolute must for all objects in altered art
the silver skeleton leaves were cut in size and shape to fit

stamps are from graphic45 steampunk spells and the spider's Web(on transparent film)is by stampers anonymous
the painted candle holder is made of glass and comes from an old dollhause

the next time our witch is intended to House,  promise!

I want to enjoy this project also by:Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge  Witch Kraft
