A summer night's dream with 13arts

 Welcome creative friends!

I was inspired to create a fantasy canvas in mixed media style.

Found an amazing little fairy in Under the Stars collection.

Glued the cut-out motif onto a moon and then put the whole motif onto a swing,

which I had made from two branches.

 used 13arts products

Paper collection 'Sunrise' (butterflies motifs)  and 'Dreamland' (background paper)

Lightbulbs from stencil Mr. Handsome

A walk through nature

Welcome mixed media friends!

I was inspired to create a mixed media canvas in natural style.
I thought on the beginning of spring, where nature awakens.
In these difficult times one is grateful if one can still take a walk through the forest.

Thatswhy I work with a closed door and a shy eye behind the bushes.

I worked with some silicone moulds, dryed leaves and blooms and some natural elements.

are best suited for this purpose wedge frame wooden wedges

A true gentlemen DT Maja Design

Welcome creative friends!

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout in vintage grunge style.
It's a scrapbook page for a boy with
one of my favourite collections 'Denim & Friends'.

I used the paper sheet 'Worn Indigo' as background, a fantastic colour shade it looks like original Blue Jeans  and some leftovers from the paper sheets 'Jeans and Shirt and 'Sunbleached'.

Magic Winter Nights

Hello creative friends!

My favorite activity for a cold, dark day is spending cozy and fantasy time at my craft table.

I love it to let my imagination run wild

What can be better :-)?!

I was inspired to create a new fantasy mixed media layout.
I used a fanciful photo as basic with a dancing girl into the moonlight under the stars.

in the centre you can see one of my new fav's,
it's a magic winter lantern from Calico Craft Parts
where I added a hole as candle light

I created a watercolour background suitable to the colours on the photo

Believe in the Magic

Hello dear friends!

I was inspired to create a tag against the November Blues.

Finally November is over and we are fall down into the christmas season,
that doesn't mean a happy time for everyone.

But the best thing for christmas are the many lights, which should reach everyone.

I have a soft spot for great iron lanterns and tried to design some.

And that is the result :-)

Sheet of Mini MDF Street Lamps

Sheet of Mini MDF Street Lamps

I'm very happy and grateful about it!!

That was only possible with the help of Helen,
the owner of Calico Craft Parts,
many many thanks!!!

some close up's

I used one lantern from the medium size.
Inside there is a candle made with a cutting die (Regions beyond) by Sizzix T. Holtz.

for a sparkling effect I used some stars in various sizes
inside a light shines

for which I used orange neon color
for a better shiny effect around
lightly diluted with water

The writing 'Believe in the Magic of  Christmas'
was highlighted with Snow Writer and Glamour Dust 'Ice Crystal' from DecoArt.

That was my first attempt to make the lantern shine, but certainly not my last :-) !

I want to share this here

Update:

 designer-spotlight

#68 Kerstin F – Maura says:  Kerstin’s gorgeous tag shows a delightful winter scene with her beautiful iron lantern covered in snow, and Santa and the reindeer flying overhead! Kerstin has a magic touch when it comes to layering and texture which I just love.
#68 Kerstin F – Kath says: I too fell in love with Kerstin’s beautiful winter scene, the magical look she created on her tag of Santa flying in the sky by the light of the lantern.

Thanks soo much!!!

Have a good advent season as little stress as possible
 my friends !
